India will impose a five-year anti-dumping duty (add) of US $2086.78 per ton on imports of NBR from China, the European Union, Japan and Russia. The General Administration of trade relief of India proposed to levy anti-dumping duty on May 12 on the grounds that NBR's dumping had adverse effects on domestic industries. An investigation was launched in May 2020 following a complaint from apcotex Industries Ltd., the only NBR producer in India. The survey covers the period from July 2019 to March 2020. For the purpose of damage investigation, the period also includes three financial years starting from 2018-19. India's Ministry of finance is reviewing the add, which is expected to be implemented within three months.
